We seek skilled Disability Support Workers who are passionate about delivering attentive, empathetic, and top-notch care. Our main goal is to support our clients in living independently and confidently at home, while also enhancing their social engagement and sense of belonging within the community.

Requirements

  • Valid Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Car insurance
  • Certificate III or higher in Disability Services.
  • Satisfactory Australian National Police Check.
  • Current or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • Smart mobile phone.
  • Be authorized to work in Australia
  • Be local to providing services in the Southern Sydney Precinct
  • 1 year NDIS experience preferred, but not a must
  • WWCC

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Experience, knowledge, and skills in working with individuals facing mental illness are highly valued.
  • Candidates should demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and follow supervisory instructions.
  • A reliable, punctual, and mature demeanour with a proven capacity to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
  • A positive attitude and a non-judgmental approach are important.
  • Applicants must provide evidence of a Certificate III in a related field and/or relevant industry experience.
  • A solid understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), including Consumer Directed Care and the Person-Centred Approach, is required.
  • Candidates should be able to build and sustain relationships within both the workplace and the community.
  • Good communication and written skills are necessary, as well as a clear understanding of boundaries and confidentiality when working with clients, their families, and care teams.
  • Experience with people with disabilities is needed, along with a thorough knowledge of AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) dependency and management.
  • Additionally, maintaining a clean and tidy car is required.
