Requirements
- Valid Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Car insurance
- Certificate III or higher in Disability Services.
- Satisfactory Australian National Police Check.
- Current or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Smart mobile phone.
- Be authorized to work in Australia
- Be local to providing services in the Southern Sydney Precinct
- 1 year NDIS experience preferred, but not a must
- WWCC
Key Selection Criteria:
- Experience, knowledge, and skills in working with individuals facing mental illness are highly valued.
- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively within a team and follow supervisory instructions.
- A reliable, punctual, and mature demeanour with a proven capacity to work independently with minimal supervision is essential.
- A positive attitude and a non-judgmental approach are important.
- Applicants must provide evidence of a Certificate III in a related field and/or relevant industry experience.
- A solid understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), including Consumer Directed Care and the Person-Centred Approach, is required.
- Candidates should be able to build and sustain relationships within both the workplace and the community.
- Good communication and written skills are necessary, as well as a clear understanding of boundaries and confidentiality when working with clients, their families, and care teams.
- Experience with people with disabilities is needed, along with a thorough knowledge of AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) dependency and management.
- Additionally, maintaining a clean and tidy car is required.
